Limonene

Limonene is a citrus ingredient that smells exceptionally clean and realistic, capturing the crisp essence of fresh orange. In perfume compositions it plays the role of a spark responsible for a sparkling, energetic opening. It is very volatile, so it works ideally as a top note, giving a fragrance lightness and natural brilliance. A classic without which it is hard to imagine modern citrus fragrances.
